  • Submitted an action plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regarding a $1.4 million grant awarded to the Jackson Housing Authority for concentrated housing rehabilitation
  • Developed the Housing Revolving Loan Fund Policies and Procedures and Underwriting Criteria approved by the West Jackson CDC Board of Directors
  • Submitted a HOPE III application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Received an award of $390,000 to purchase and rehabilitate ten houses
  • Received a scholarship from Seedco to attend the 1993 Management and Community Development Institute (MCDI at Tufts University.
  • Lead staff person for two Youthbuild Projects, both of which were funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for $700,000 each
  • Submitted proposals to the City of Jackson for HOME and CDBG funds for more than $2 million
  • Submitted a Minority Business Enterprise Loan application. Received funding for $250,000
  • Submitted for and received the first Seedco Housing Revolving Loan Fund loan for $150,000
  • Assisted in the development, chartering, and incorporation of West Jackson Community Development Corporation
  • Initiated capacity training for staff and board members of West Jackson Community Development Corporation
  • Developed criteria and curricula for Homeownership Counseling and Education Workshop Program
  • Submitted for and received funding for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, Affordable Housing Program for $176,000
  • Assisted in the preparation and submission of an application to the Office of Adolescence and Pregnancy Prevention. Received funding for $1.2 million
  • Submitted an application to the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention for the Drug Free Communities Support Program. Received funding for $200,000
